The information within is retrieved from “Descendants of Richard Everett” by Edward F. Everett (1902). I’ll refer to him as EFE.

John Everett was baptized around 1646 in Dedham, Massachusetts. Beginning in 1693, records refer to him as Captain John Everett. In 1694, during the course of King William’s War, he and other men were sent to New Hampshire to protect the population from Indian attacks. EFE states that Captain John Everett seems to have had command of the group of men that went to New Hampshire. After things calmed down and there was peace, records of John Everett did not occur until his death and his will was executed.
